Umrah can be performed all year round. The “best” time depends on what matters most to you: weather, price, crowd levels or the spiritual reward of a special month.
Winter (November – February)
The most comfortable weather, with pleasant days and cool nights in Madinah. School holidays in December are busy, so book early. A great choice for families and elderly parents.
Ramadan
An Umrah in Ramadan carries great reward and the atmosphere is unforgettable, especially during the last ten nights. Expect the highest prices and big crowds — hotels near the Haram sell out months ahead.
Spring (March – May)
Warm but manageable weather and good value packages outside the Easter holidays.
Summer (June – September)
Very hot (often above 40°C), but usually the lowest prices and quieter outside the Hajj season. Plan Tawaf for night time and stay close to the Haram.
Our advice
- First Umrah with family: November to February.
- Best value: after Hajj season and in early autumn.
- Most reward: Ramadan — book 3–6 months ahead.
