Hajj Requirements & Registration

Who can go for Hajj, how registration works and what to prepare months in advance.

Hajj Guide 2 min read

Hajj places are limited and rules are set by the Saudi authorities and your country of residence each year. Starting early makes everything easier.

General requirements

  • Muslim adult, physically and financially able.
  • Passport valid for at least 6 months.
  • Required vaccinations (for example meningitis and seasonal vaccines — confirmed each year).
  • Women travelling under the current rules for mahram or group travel.
  • Booking through an approved Hajj organiser.

From the United Kingdom

UK residents register through the official Saudi platform (Nusuk Hajj) and book with an approved package. Registration usually opens several months before Hajj and places fill fast. We guide you through every step.

From Pakistan

Pilgrims from Pakistan can apply through the government scheme or private Hajj operators. Keep your CNIC, passport and documents ready and follow the official announcements for dates.

Your preparation timeline

  • 6 months before: register interest, check passport and health.
  • 3 months before: confirm package, vaccinations and payments.
  • 1 month before: attend training, buy Ihram and comfortable footwear, start walking daily.
  • 1 week before: pack, settle debts, make your will and ask forgiveness from family.

Please note: This guide is a simple overview to help you prepare. For detailed rulings please follow your scholar or our group scholar, and always check the latest Saudi travel rules — our team confirms everything before you travel.
